CONTINUED IMPROVEMENTS AND GREAT SHOWS IN 2011-2012

We are excited to begin our 54th season of Cherokee Community Theater!

We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support. Together we continue to make quality theater productions available for the enjoyment of the Cherokee area.  During our past season we were proud to bring you the critically acclaimed drama, “Rabbit Hole” followed by our spring production of John Cariani’s romantic comedy, “Almost, Maine”.  Our summer musical comedy, “Nunset Boulevard” was a laugh-out-loud smash and our CCT Jr. production of “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” completely sold out! Thank you for making this possible.

Over the past year, through our season ticket sales, grants and the work of our volunteers we have been able to afford these improvements for CCT: 

• New LED lighting to visually enhance our shows and effects
• Materials to make theatrical floor panels for improved lighting quality
• A new series of Pulitzer Prize winning plays in addition to our regular season
• A week-long children’s summer theater camp
• A website which now allows you to make reservations online (cherokeect.org)

We are so excited to announce our 2012-13 season premier! Opening November 30^th, the Broadway musical version of “A Christmas Carol, the Musical” by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) and Lynn Ahrens (Seussical) featuring Flying by Foy®!  This show promises to be a holiday spectacular for all ages to enjoy!

Your membership card (season tickets) will be mailed in late September.  Memberships may also be purchased at our fall production, but please note that the “Member” level of season tickets for the 2012-2013 season will not be available for purchase after the completion of the season’s initial production.
